Taylor leaves game after colliding with wall

Just two innings after Yunel Escobar left with a right hand injury, the Nationals saw another player go down in their game against the Padres on Thursday night.

Michael Taylor was removed after colliding with the center field wall on a long flyball hit by Melvin Upton, Jr. in the top of the seventh inning. Taylor leaped for the ball at the warning track and slammed into the wall at full speed. He then dropped to the ground holding what appeared to be his right knee. The impact left a hole in the green padding, apparently where his cleat made contact.
