MIAMI -- The Nationals placed right-hander Stephen Strasburg on the 10-day disabled list on Thursday with a pinched nerve in his neck and he will miss tonight's scheduled start against the Marlins, a surprising turn of events as it occurred just six days after Strasburg come off the DL to start on Friday.
The move is retroactive to Sunday. Strasburg had missed more than a month with inflammation in his right shoulder.
In his place, the Nationals plan to promote left-hander Tommy Milone from Triple-A Syracuse to start tonight against the Marlins, a source told MLB.
