ATLANTA -- This weekend's three-game series between the Nationals and Braves also features a matchup between the two front-runners for the National League Rookie of the Year Award -- Atlanta's Ronald Acuna Jr. and Washington's Juan Soto. Both have a legitimate argument for the award, which could be decided by their performance during the final few weeks of the season.
Soto continued his push toward locking up the honor, swatting a first-pitch fastball from Kevin Gausman over the left-center-field wall for a solo home run in the fourth inning. It was Soto's 20th home run of the year, the third most by a teenager in MLB history.
