PHILADELPHIA -- Juan Soto continued smashing his way up the record books Tuesday night, swatting his 17th home run of the year 415 feet to right-center field against the Phillies' Jake Arrieta. With the homer, Soto broke a tie with Ken Griffey Jr. for fourth place on the list of most home runs by a teenager. Next up on the list is Mel Ott (19).
Soto powered the Nationals' offense to start Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park with a run-scoring double in the second inning before his dinger in the fourth put the Nats ahead, 3-0.
