WASHINGTON -- Nationals phenom Juan Soto added time travel to his exploits on Monday -- well, sort of. With the Nats and Yanks resuming their suspended game from May 15, the 19-year-old slugging outfielder crushed an upper-deck long ball in the sixth inning of a contest that officially began before Soto's MLB debut on May 20.
One of the weirdest quirks for the resumption of this suspended game would be how it affected Soto. But Soto was eligible to play in this game, and as a pinch-hitter in the sixth inning, the rookie launched a two-run homer near the concourse in the second deck in right field to put Washington ahead, 5-3.
