Solis improving, but questionable for playoffs

ATLANTA -- Nationals left-hander Sammy Solis, who is on the disabled list because of shoulder inflammation, said the soreness in his shoulder is gone.

Solis is going through a throwing program, but the team is not rushing to get him back on the field. It helps that the Nationals have a big lead in the National League East race. Before he is activated, Solis will have to pitch in a simulated game.

"You can't come back in five or six days," Solis said. "We are progressing really well. Everything is looking good and I'm feeling strong, and that is the most important thing.
