Revere lands on DL; Nats recall den Dekker

The Nationals placed outfielder Ben Revere on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday, retroactive to Tuesday, with a right oblique strain.

Outfielder Matt den Dekker was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to replace Revere on the 25-man roster.

Revere, acquired by the Nationals this offseason from the Blue Jays, left Washington's first game of the season in the fourth inning with the injury.

den Dekker, 28, hit .300 with four RBIs and nine runs scored in 21 Grapefruit League games before being optioned to Syracuse following Spring Training.
