PHILADELPHIA -- The Nationals had only won two games all season when trailing after eight innings, before a two-run home run from Anthony Rendon in the ninth helped erase an off night from Max Scherzer and give the Nationals a 5-4, come-from-behind victory on Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park.
Following a leadoff walk to Bryce Harper by Tommy Hunter in the ninth, the Phillies turned to Pat Neshek to try and seal a one-run game. However, Neshek threw a slider that floated over the heart of the plate and Rendon swatted it into the left field seats.
