Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon, who may have played his last game at Nationals Park on Monday, was asked what it means to advance to Game 5 on Wednesday night in the NLDS.
“Fortunate. I think that is definitely the word,” Rendon said. “Just the fact we are in the playoffs and trying to make a run, that says a lot. It is not easy to make the playoffs. I think a lot of people overlook that. They think it is a piece of cake; it definitely is not.”
For emphasis, Rendon noted his first postseason appearance came in 2014 for the Nationals.
