Washington's Nationals took a seven-game winning streak into this afternoon's series finale with the Philadelphia Phillies. They were tied up at 1-1 in the 10th when Bryce Harper hit a full-count fastball out to right-center, but the Phils walked off in the home half of the 10th.
Dusty Baker's decision to rest some of the Washington Nationals' regulars today was not one he made after the Nats took the first two games of the three-game weekend set with the Phillies in Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park.
"I already had it planned," Baker explained after Saturday night's 8-1 win.
