Patrick Corbin snapped a rough, three-start losing streak, over which he had an 11.37 ERA and a .379/.433/.638 line against in 12 2⁄3 innings pitched, with a strong start against the Philadelphia Phillies last Wednesday in the nation’s capital.
Corbin held the Phillies to a run on four hits in seven innings, walking three and striking out eight batters in a 101-pitch outing in a 6-2 win which left him with a 3.90 ERA, a 3.91 FIP, 32 walks (3.12 BB/9), and 102 Ks (9.94 K/9) in 15 starts and 92 1⁄3 IP on the season.
