WASHINGTON – Normally, Brad Holman flies and drives around the country to the affiliates in Washington’s system and sometimes sits behind home plate during games as the pitching coordinator in player development.
But his view has been from a different viewpoint the past few weeks as he fills in as pitching coach for the Double-A Harrisburg Senators while Sam Narron remains with the major league club.
That gave Holman a chance to see right-hander Gerardo Carrillo up close on Friday when the pitcher made his third start in Washington’s system since he was acquired from the LA Dodgers in the deal that sent Max Scherzer and Trea Turner out west.
