The Nationals made a pair of roster moves Wednesday, placing right-hander Matt Belisle on the 15-day disabled list and recalling lefty Sammy Solis from Triple-A Syracuse.
The 27-year-old Solis allowed one earned run in nine innings at Triple-A this season, his first full year as a reliever. He also struck out 14 of the 34 batters he faced, allowing five hits and issuing three walks.
Belisle, who has a right calf strain, has allowed only one earned run in six innings over seven appearances this season.
