ATLANTA -- Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman and catcher Jose Lobaton have rejoined the Nationals after spending several days on rehab assignments, but were not activated from the 15-day disabled list Friday.
Manager Dusty Baker wanted to see them work out first. If things go well, both will be on the 25-man roster Saturday. Zimmerman has missed several weeks because of a bruise left wrist, while Lobaton missed time with left elbow tendinitis.
"I have to set my eyes on them today and see how they look. Then we will make a determination probably [Saturday] sometime," Baker said.
