WASHINGTON -- The Nationals used the 2015 Draft to add another top-of-the-order bat on Monday night. Center fielder Blake Perkins, who the team selected with the 69th overall pick, fits that description.
The Draft continues on Tuesday with Rounds 3-10. The MLB.com preview show begins at 12:30 p.m. ET, with exclusive coverage of Rounds 3-10 beginning at 1 p.m. ET.
Perkins just finished high school and already looks like he should be able to handle professional pitching. For example, the right-handed hitting Perkins hit .461 (41-for-89) with seven home runs, 35 RBIs and 51 runs scored in just 29 games during his senior season at Verrado High School in Buckeye, Ariz.
