WASHINGTON -- The Nationals signed catcher Jhonatan Solano to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training, the team announced. This is Solano's second stint with the organization. He spent nine years with the Nats before they released him in November 2014.
Last season, Solano spent time in the Marlins' organization, hitting .228 with three home runs and 22 RBIs for Triple-A New Orleans before briefly appearing with the big league club. In seven games for Miami, Solano was 1-for-20 with two RBIs.
