Nationals prospects: Travis Sykora suffers a hip injury

While arrival of pitchers and catchers marks the beginning of a new season, it is also when injuries are revealed. Unfortunately for the Nats, their top pitching prospect Travis Sykora will be on the shelf.

General Manager Mike Rizzo announced that the 20 year old right hander will be out until at least May with a hip injury. At least it is not an arm injury, but this is a bummer for Sykora, who is a rising star in the Nationals system. He was supposed to be with the team in West Palm Beach with fellow pitching prospect Jarlin Susana.
