What exemplifies Opening Day? The clean records, the even standings, the hope every team carries of making it to the postseason, yes, these are all indicators. Presidential bunting hung around the stadium, fresh chalk lines, freshly painted foul poles, yes, these are all indictors. The President of the United States standing in his box seat in the front row throwing a “pitch” to a player as camera’s snap photos, well, apparently not anymore.
