Weather permitting, and there is a threat of rain in Atlanta, Joe Ross, 23, will return to the mound for the Washington Nationals for the first time since July 2nd in the series finale with the Braves.
He might not be on the mound long, since he’ll be on some sort of a pitch limit, but it’s a big step for the right-hander, who was placed on the Disabled List back on July 3rd with inflammation in his right shoulder.
Dusty Baker told reporters earlier this week that he was eager to get Ross back on the mound so that he can potentially help out during the stretch.
