The Washington Nationals’ game against the Miami Marlins on Saturday was postponed because of unseasonably cold weather and rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader on May 14.
The Nationals said the wind chill was predicted to be in the upper 20s to low 30s on Saturday at the scheduled 4:05 p.m. first pitch.
The game was called off about three and a half hours before the start and neither the Nationals (2-1) nor the Marlins (1-2) made their manager or players available to speak to the media.
The teams had an off day Friday after Miami won Washington’s home opener, 6-4, on Thursday.
