WASHINGTON – Tim Cate, a second-round pick in 2018 out of the University of Connecticut by the Nationals, was the starting pitcher on Tuesday as Washington lost 6-4 to the Marlins in Instructional League action in Florida.
Other pitchers for the Nationals were Joan Adon, Jackson Tetreault, Gabe Klobosits, Alfonso Hernandez and Karlo Seijas, according to Justin Lord, who was slated to be the Single-A pitching coach for Fredericksburg this past season.
Adon reached the low Single-A level at Hagerstown in 2019, Tetreault pitched for Single-A Potomac and Double-A Harrisburg, and Klobosits played for three teams and reached High-A Potomac last year.
