LOS ANGELES -- The Nationals signed outfielder Tony Campana to a Minor League deal, a baseball source told MLB.com. The club has not confirmed.
Campana, 29, is recovering from an ACL tear suffered this past February while signed to a Minors deal with the White Sox. He will report to the Nationals' complex in Viera, Fla.
When healthy, Campana can provide speed off the bench. He had a career-high 30 stolen bases for the Cubs in 2012. Campana has also spent time with the Angels and D-backs.
