NEW YORK -- Nationals manager Dusty Baker had high praise for his second baseman, Daniel Murphy, after Saturday's 6-1 victory over the Mets at Citi Field.
Baker was doing some reminiscing. He noted that he has managed some of the great players in Major League Baseball, and he added Murphy to the list.
"[Murphy] ranks pretty up there with the players I've had -- Jeff Kent, Moises Alou, Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds," Baker said. "I'm not name dropping, I'm just telling you who've I've seen. The guys I've just mentioned, they were more home run hitters than Murph.
