Daniel Murphy is starting to heat up at the plate at just the right time for the Nationals.
And it comes as no surprise that his latest barrage came against the New York Mets, who gave up 26 hits as the Nationals set several offensive records in a 25-4 crushing win Tuesday night at Nationals Park.
Murphy hit two of the five homers by Washington and had a career-high six RBI with three hits. It was the sixth multi-homer game in the career of Murphy and he now has 11 homers against the Mets, the team that drafted him out of Jacksonville University.
