A deal with free agent Adam Lind might leave Clint Robinson as the odd man out on the Washington Nationals' roster.
According to multiple reports, Lind agreed to a one-year, $1.5 million contract Monday and will likely serve as a backup behind Ryan Zimmerman at first base.
Prior to Monday's deal, the Nationals' bench was likely to consist of Robinson, Jose Lobaton, Stephen Drew, Chris Heisey and Michael Taylor. According to Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post, Robinson would appear to be on the bubble "because Lind is the same kind of player -- a big left-handed first baseman/left fielder -- but a more accomplished hitter.
