The Washington Nationals announced Sunday they reinstated reliever Koda Glover from the 60-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse.
Glover has been sidelined since spring training with right shoulder tendinitis. He began rehab assignments in early July and has featured five times with two starts. Overall, in 5 u2154 innings, he has a 4.76 ERA. The right-hander has allowed eight hits, three runs, one home run while walking three and striking out nine.
Nationals manager Dave Martinez said before Sunday’s contest against the Atlanta Braves that he has liked Glover’s progression. Most recently, Glover struck out one batter Friday in a scoreless inning for the Syracuse Chiefs.
