Kieboom's first career HR breaks ice in Philly

PHILADELPHIA -- As the Nationals have struggled to find production from the catcher's spot all season, Spencer Kieboom has received his first extended chance at playing time in the Majors this year.

And Kieboom connected with a personal milestone with one out in the fifth inning in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader vs. the Phillies, swatting an opposite-field solo home run to right against Nick Pivetta. The blast was Kieboom's first career home run and it put the Nationals on the scoreboard first as part of a two-run inning. Kieboom also appeared to lose a tooth in the process, but he didn't seem to let that affect a joyous inaugural home run trot.
