BALTIMORE -- The Nationals could be getting some reinforcements for their bullpen soon, with right-handers Shawn Kelley and Koda Glover each nearing a return from the disabled list.
Glover, who is on the DL with a left hip impingement, will begin a Minor League rehab assignment with Double-A Harrisburg on Wednesday. And manager Dusty Baker said Kelley, who is recovering from a lower back strain, is feeling great after his first bullpen session on Monday and indicated Kelley could come off the DL when eligible on Friday.
Glover and Kelley are the two pitchers the Nats named their co-closers last month, and Baker has been tasked with matching up the later innings to secure the final outs.
