Juan Soto homers as Nationals beat Yankees in suspended game

Juan Soto was with Double-A Harrisburg Senators for a game at Prince George’s Stadium in Bowie on May 15.

That night, the game was suspended by rain and was completed the following morning, then Soto hit a homer in the regularly-scheduled game against Baysox lefty Keegan Akin on May 16.

One month and two days later and about 18 miles away in the District, Soto hit a pinch-hit homer at Nationals Park on Monday for the Washington Nationals in a 5-3 victory over the New York Yankees in the completion of a suspended game.

It was the sixth home run in the first 78 big league at-bats for Soto, who crushed a 3-1 pitch about 430 feet off Yankees reliever Chad Green over the Nationals bullpen in right field.
