WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The Nationals have answered a few of the roster questions that were unsettled at the start of Spring Training. A.J. Cole will begin the season as their fifth starter. Miguel Montero will be the backup catcher. Yet, the final roster spots remain undecided with the team breaking camp Sunday.
After a flurry of roster moves Saturday, the players remaining in competition for those spots became more clear. But Washington is still debating whether it wants to carry an extra pitcher or hitter on its roster to begin the season.
