WASHINGTON -- Bryce Harper gave the 43,698 fans the show they had so eagerly anticipated in the T-Mobile Home Run Derby on Monday night, staging a late rally to win the final round and advance past the Cubs' Kyle Schwarber. A late home run barrage before clock expired on his final round tied Schwarber at 18 and then Harper launched a final home run to win it in extra time.
Harper becomes just the third player to win the Home Run Derby in their home ballpark, joining Todd Frazier for the Reds in 2015 and Ryne Sandberg of the Cubs in 1990.
