Already a two-time All-Star, outfielder Bryce Harper leads all vote-getters in the first National League 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot results, announced on Wednesday.
Harper, 22, is the only Nationals player to appear in the voting results (top 15 for outfielders, top five for other positions).
Harper has received 1,116,582 votes as he bids for his second career starting assignment in the Midsummer Classic, to be played this year in Cincinnati on July 14. He would be the fourth player in franchise history to claim multiple fan-elected starting nods.
"Of course you want to be an All-Star, it's something that you dream about when you're younger," Harper said.
