Harper isn't only weapon on loaded Phillies club

PHILADELPHIA — Forget Bryce Harper. It was too much Rhys Hoskins here on Monday night for the Nationals.

Hoskins, batting fourth back of Harper, hit two solo homers as the Phillies beat Washington 4-3. It was the fourth time in his career Hoskins hit more than one homer in a game.

His homer in the last of the sixth broke a 2-2 tie against Anibal Sanchez (0-1), the Washington starter.

“It was a 3-2 count. He put a real good swing on it,” Sanchez said.

Hoskins hit a solo homer in the eighth off Washington reliever Justin Miller for a 4-2 lead.
