Harper battling illness, out of Nats' lineup

PHILADELPHIA -- Unable to shake the illness that has been bothering him for more than a week, Bryce Harper was out of the Nationals' starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

Harper drew a walk in the top of the ninth in Tuesday night's 5-4 loss before he was replaced by Michael A. Taylor in center field during the bottom of the inning because he started feeling sick.

It's the second time in four days Harper has not been able to start, including Sunday's series finale against the Mets at Citi Field, although he entered that game in the eighth inning and went 2-for-2 with three RBIs.
