Hamstring injury sends Nats' Turner to DL

is headed to the disabled list with a right hamstring strain. The Nationals placed the 23-year-old shortstop on the 10-day DL on Monday.

To replace Turner, Washington recalled outfielder Michael Taylor from Triple-A Syracuse.

Turner injured his hamstring during the first inning of the Nationals' 17-3 loss to the Phillies on Saturday. Before suffering the strain, he had gone 3-for-19 with a double and three stolen bases to open '17.

After the game, the 2016 National League Rookie of the Year runner-up downplayed his concern, saying, "I'm not limping or anything like that, so it's just a matter of giving it some rest and hopefully in a few days it'll feel good.
