After a thrilling, come-from-behind victory yesterday in Arizona, the Nationals now open a 4-game weekend series in San Diego, where the weather isn’t very San Diego-like. There’s a chance of rain tonight, a true rare event at Petco Park.
If and when they play, Doug Fister will be on the mound for the Nationals, facing a much-different and much-improved Padres lineup. Right-hander Tyson Ross (whose brother, Joe, was traded to the Nats in this winter’s Trea Turner deal) starts for San Diego.
I’m unfortunately not in town this weekend for the series, but please continue the discussion here and check back in the morning for some remote analysis…
