Jim Riggleman is getting another shot as a manager in MLB.
The Cincinnati Reds fired Bryan Price on Thursday after a 3-15 start, announcing Riggleman would take over on an interim basis. Riggleman served as the Nationals manager from 2009-2011, but quit 75 games into the 2011 season because ownership would not offer him a contract.
Last season, former Washington Times’ staff writer Todd Dybas caught up with Riggleman, who said he still wanted to manage.
Riggleman left the Nationals amid a stretch where they won 11 of 12.
