WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The Nationals pulled off perhaps their most aggressive trade in the tenure of general manager Mike Rizzo this offseason, when they traded away three of their top pitching prospects for outfielder Adam Eaton. It was as clear a signal as any that the future is now in Washington, and the Nats are going to try and capitalize on this championship window while they can.
Expect that aggressiveness to continue for the Nationals come this year's Trade Deadline. Barring catastrophic injuries, they will almost certainly be in the postseason mix and are already the favorites to win the National League East.
