Complete 2018 All-Star Game rosters

Starting the All-Star Game presented by Mastercard for the second straight year, and this time in front of his home fans at Nationals Park, Max Scherzer threw four of his hardest pitches this season (98.5 mph, 98.2, 98.0, 97.9) while working a scoreless first inning.

He struck out the first two batters, Mookie Betts and Jose Altuve, then walked Mike Trout and allowed a single to J.D. Martinez before getting out of the inning on a popout by Jose Ramirez.
