Bullpen Woes Continue as Nationals Fall to Pirates 6-3

The Washington Nationals opened up their first out-of-division regular season series Friday night as they welcomed the Pittsburg Pirates to town to start a three-game series.

The Pirates sent right-hander Trevor Williams to the mound to be opposed by All-Star left-hander Patrick Corbin for Washington.

The Buccos struck first in the top of the second when power-hitting first basemen Josh Bell launched a solo home run to left, giving the visitors an early 1-0 lead.

After giving up the homer Corbin took matters into his own hands in tying the game up, blooping an RBI single to left in the bottom of the second tying the game at 1-1.
