Right-handed pitcher Aaron Barrett, who has overcome several arm injuries, is headed back to the Nationals after he last appeared in the majors in 2015.
The Double-A Harrisburg (PA) Senators of the Eastern League released video Tuesday showing Barrett getting the news he was headed back to Washington from Matt LeCroy, the Harrisburg manager and former Nationals bullpen coach.
“Aaron has really put together a great year,” farm director Mark Scialabba told The Washington Times last week.
“His slider has a chance to be a wipeout pitch up here.”
Barrett made 90 appearances out of the bullpen in 2014-15 for Washington before dealing with injuries.
