The college baseball season has officially begun. With the number 1 pick, Nationals fans will be looking intently at the top prospects. In my first look at the draft, I talked about the three big names, Ethan Holliday, Jace Laviolette, and Jamie Arnold. However, a new name is rising up boards and has gotten the scouts attention.
That player is Oregon State infielder Aiva Arquette. The Hawaiian was excellent in the Cape Cod League, showing off his advanced bat, as well as a surprising ability to play a quality shortstop. Listed at 6’5 220 pounds, he would be a massive shortstop, but guys like Corey Seager and Carlos Correa have been able to pull it off.
