The Washington Nationals today announced that right-handed pitcher Chad Gaudin has been recalled from rehab, reinstated from the 15-Day Disabled List and designated for assignment. Nationals Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcement.
Gaudin missed the last 75 games after being placed on the DL on April 27, retroactive to April 26, with right shoulder inflammation. He is 1-1 with two holds and a 6.48 ERA in 10 relief appearances this season with Washington.
Gaudin, 28, went 0-2 with a 3.52 ERA in eight games/three starts during his rehab assignment with Potomac of the Single-A Carolina League, Hagerstown of the Single-A South Atlantic League and Syracuse of the Triple-A International League.
