The final fan voting for the MLB All-Star game is now complete and Washington Nationals player Mike Morse didn't win. I think it's a crime to leave him off the team, but must admit I'm biased.
So that leaves pitcher Tyler Clippard as the lone Washington Nationals player to make it on the NL All-Star team. Since Morse took over at first base for the injured Adam LaRoche he's hit 13 home runs and driven in 35 runs to lead the NL in both categories.
I also think the fact Morse is playing a new position after starting the year as the left fielder should have helped his case to make the team. Not many players can switch positions on the fly and continue producing like that without a temporary drop in numbers.
Something tells me that this will be the last MLB All-Star game with only one Washington Nationals player in it!
