Young, Mulcahy lead Rutgers in 94-69 romp over Caldwell

PISCATAWAY, NJ (AP) — Steve Pikiell bristled at the idea that playing a Division-II school didn’t matter. While a win against a D-II opponent won’t help a postseason resume, won't count towards Rutgers’ RPI, or even register as a win, the fourth-year coach feels he gets something out of every game.

Against Caldwell, it was breakthrough performances for a couple of Rutgers' backcourt players.

Jacob Young had 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting with eight rebounds and six assists and Paul Mulcahy had a career-high 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting as Rutgers defeated Division II Caldwell 94-49 on Monday night.
