Washington picked up a major addition to their 2025 recruiting class today as four-star point guard JJ Mandaquit committed to the Huskies.
The 6’1 point guard is originally from Hawai’i but currently plays for Utah Prep where he is teammates with 2025 #1 overall recruit A.J Dybantsa. Mandaquit is currently the 49th overall prospect in the 247 composite rankings and the #6 rated point guard. With his current rating he would become the 15th highest rated UW recruit of the modern era slotting in between Nigel Williams-Goss and Dejounte Murray.
Mandaquit has extensive experience playing with USA Basketball as he was the starting point guard for the U17 Team USA squad that went undefeated at the FIBA World Cup this summer.
