The coaching staff has dipped back into the talent pool from their days at the University of Arizona and landed versatile DL Ta’ita’i Uiagelelei (pronounced tie-ee-tie oo-yung-oo-luh-lay). He joins the Huskies after his most productive season as Arizona with 33 tackles, 1 PD, 8 TFL, and 2.5 sacks. If the name Uiagelelei is familiar, he is cousins with QB DJ Uiagelelei and Oregon DE Matayo Uiagelelei.
The staff has continued their effort in the offseason to help bolster their defensive line through the portal with Uiagelelei being the third commitment at the position joining Anterio Thompson and Simote Pepa.
