Happy Wednesday Husky fans. The Huskies got some great news today when former Texas Tech wideout Ja’Lynn Polk from Lufkin HS, TX committed to UW. Listed at around 6’2 and 190 pounds Polk is a shifty wide receiver that can play outside or in the slot. He had a 0.8809 rating in the 247 Sports Composite coming out of high school where 0.89 is the cutoff for moving up to a 4-star.
Last season for the Red Raiders as a true freshman Polk accounted for 28 receptions, 263 yards and 2 touchdowns. Most notably given Washington’s troubles last season he had 0 drops in 38 targets and surpassed 25 yards after the catch in 3 separate games.
