Hello Husky fans. The Huskies got some extremely good news today when 4 star QB Derek Zammit from Depaul Catholic HS, NJ committed to UW. The Huskies were able to beat out Mississippi State, Syracuse, and Alabama for his commitment. Zammit is rated by 247sports as the 21st best quarterback in the country and 5th best player in New Jersey in the 2026 class. Listed at 6’1” and around 195 pounds, Zammit is a dual threat QB who has a strong arm and should be a good fit for the Huskies offense. It’s been a while since the Huskies went into NJ and landed a top target, but it was clear the Huskies really liked Zammit and were pushing for him over the last couple of weeks.
