One day after wrapping up the regular season with a riveting Apple Cup victory, Washington coach Chris Petersen and offensive coordinator Jonathan Smith made an in-home recruiting visit to see Bothell High School’s Jacob Sirmon, one of the top-ranked quarterbacks in the Class of 2018.
It was Petersen’s first visit during a three-week “contact” period in the NCAA recruiting calendar, and it kick starts an important stretch for the Huskies as the new early signing period approaches on Dec. 20.
As of Monday morning, 13 recruits are known to have made a verbal commitment to Washington in this class.
